12 new Slicer Dicer reporting models now in Epic

Caregivers now have access to new Slicer Dicer models. Depending on your user role you may have access to 12 new data models, including:

  • ED Encounters
  • Patients with Cancer
  • Imaging Studies
  • Bed Requests
  • Home Health Certification Periods
  • Interface Messages
  • Interface Errors
  • Patient Infections
  • Quality Improvement Abstractions
  • Research Studies
  • Research Study Patient Associations
  • Transfer Center Requests

As a reminder, the easiest way to access Slicer Dicer is to search for it using the chart search feature in Epic. Depending on your configuration, you'll also be able to access it via the Slicer Dicer link located on the Epic toolbar (top menu) or through the Epic dropdown menu (top left corner). When you open it, you'll be prompted to go through a system-led introductory tutorial around Slicer Dicer. You'll need to complete this to start using the feature.

After completing the tutorial, you will be able to select which data model you'd like to use. If you're not prompted to choose a data model, you'll need to request access to the available data models. To request access to a data model, use the new Report Request Portal on the CaregiverNet homepage under the Resources dropdown.
